NEW FILMS and a Screening
ELLO! So first of all sozzles for the lack of updates recently.. but stuff is happening. Lots of stuff. Here's a little summary of what's going on:
First up, DING! Is screening at the Strawberry Shorts Film Festival. Its this FRIDAY 3rd June (Note: not on the day of the actual Strawberry Fair), in a big tent on Midsummer Common. Full details over at the Cinema Shorts website. There's two programmes one at 7pm and one at 9pm. DING! is screening in the latter. Also, my friend Carl Peck's awesome MR. SILVERFACE is screening in for former. You'll need to be there for about 6pm in order to get your voting slip so you can vote for the audience prize. See you there!
Secondly, I have new film online! Its that disposable (meaning it was shot on a cheap camera, a stills camera) one I mentioned in the last news thingemy. Its called Recycling Shelf (Put & Take). Please give it a watch! :)
Thirdly, in my last news update, I said I had one disposabe film in the works.. that was a lie. I actually had two! So there's another one still to come! It's basically done, but you'll have to wait a little bit longer to see it. My films arn't like buses!
Nextly, erm, well this isn't news, but I have a new Super 8 film in the works, and its very nearly done! Also, my next major short film, a drama film is also complete. It has started to be submitted to festivals. Its called Thrown. In my next news update I may have a still from the film!
I went to the Disposable Film Festival at the end of March, had an amazing time, met some great people, and saw some excellent films. To check out some of the 2011 Disposable Film Festival films go here: http://vimeo.com/dff/videos my personal faves are Paper Memories, Indoor God and The Kitty Papers! All the other films were awesome too.
Here's a photo of me and my dad at the Disposable Film Festival 2011 (Castro Theatre, San Francisco):

BBC Radio 4 Exploding Cinema Radio Documentary
Hello! My actual voice is going to be on Radio 4! I will be in a short part of a Radio Documentary about the Exploding Cinema Night, on BBC Radio 4, Sunday 16th January, 1.30pm.
More info here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00xj2pw
Why? well, if you listen to the documentary you will find out. But here's the story anyway! It's kind of a long story, but i'll try to keep it short!
I made this film ages ago: My 60 Second Documentary About The Stuff What Is In This Room It got into Disposable Film Festival, which meant it had a screening in London. The screening in London was an Exploding Cinema disposable film night.
I went along, met a chap called Ben Slotover, he did a Q&A with me after my film was screened. The same night I made this film documenting the evening: http://vimeo.com/15845190
A few months later Ben got into contact with me, and said Just Radio were making a radio documentary about the Exploding Cinema night, and that they needed to follow a filmmaker making a film for the film night. I got into touch with them, and they wanted to do it real soon, so I planned a sequel to the first film i mentioned above! So when they came to record me shooting something, I shot this: My 60 Second Documentary About The Stuff What Is In This House
Hannah (Just Radio producer) is in the film, I documented her documenting me! She interviewed me and my bro and my friend who I was making the film with. And now that'll be part of the Exploding Cinema Documentary on BBC RADIO 4!
Long story huh? Said it would be! So there we have it. Hope that made for an interesting read/watch. And hope you'll be listening on Sunday! If you miss it, I guess it'll be up on listen again, so I'll link that once it's up!
